Pill-bearing spurge is an upright annual or perennial plant that can grow up to 50 cm (20 in.). It has clusters of tiny blooms and oval-pointed leaves.
As the name suggests, this herb has long been used to alleviate asthma in Asian cultures.
Although the pill-bearing spurge is native to Australia and India, it is widely used in these regions. When a plant is in blossom, its aerial components are collected.
