Pygeum africanum

A 35 m tall evergreen tree (1 15 ft). Has red berries, white blooms, and oval foliage. The main medication for an enlarged prostate gland in French traditional medicine is a fat-soluble solution of Pygeum bark. When male sterility is caused by low prostate secretions, an infusion of the bark may aid recover it as well as lessen the seriousness of chronic prostate inflammation. The use of Pygeum in conjunction with other plants could be beneficial in the cure of prostate cancer. Pygeum is an African native. Although it is still taken from the wild, there are now plantations because of serious supply problems.
