Malabar Nut

Adhatoda vasica

White or violet flowers, lobed leaves, and 4-seeded fruit characterize this evergreen shrub, which reaches a height of 3 m (10 ft). Malabar nut is helpful for bronchitis and other chest diseases because of its expectorant properties. Malabar flowers are a component of an Ayurvedic remedy to treat Tuberculosis. Worms are expelled from the plant via all components. On wounds and irritated joints, a poultice made of the fresh leaves is used.
