The herb Khat comes from a tree that can reach a height of 15 m (49 ft). It bears little yellow or white blooms, oval, leathery leaves, and reddish stems.
Khat is a stimulant, tonic, and appetite reducer in various African and Middle Eastern nations. When khat is infused, smoked, or chewed, it has a comparable impact on coca leaves. Khat may or may not be addictive. However, withdrawal symptoms can cause drowsiness.
It is indigenous to the Horn of Africa and the Middle East. Khat favors grassland and dry environments. It is found in the areas of Ethiopia, Somalia, East Africa, and the Arabian Peninsula.
