Guar gum is a sticky material created with water and powdered guar seeds. It is used in making paper, cosmetics, and mining, and has served as a filter.

Guar gum is a native of the Indian subcontinent and is widely grown in Pakistan and India. When ripe in the summer, the saw pods are collected.

Uses

Laxitive similar in action psyllium.

Digestive tonic It may help in delaying the emptying of the stomach and slows down the absorption of carbohydrates.

Pre-Diabetes Is useful in slowing the absorption of carbohydrates.

Cholesterol Might help in lowering cholesterol.
