Galbanum

Ferula gummosa

Galbanum is a perennial with a smooth, hollow stem. It has finely toothed compound leaves and clusters of small white flowers.

Galbanum has been used for medicinal purposes for centuries.

Galbanum originates in central Asia. Its gum is obtained by chopping off the stems and slicing through the roots. After hardening, the gum rises to the top and is gathered.
