Evergreen cypress trees may reach up to 30 meters (100 feet). It features male and female cones along with small dark green leaves. It has characteristics similar to witch hazel.
The cones were taken by the ancient Greeks, who crushed and soaked them in wine to cure coughs, asthma attacks, dysentery, and bloody coughs.
Turkey is the birthplace of cypress, grown around the Mediterranean and harvested in the spring.
