Chou Wu Tong is an erect, 10-foot-tall deciduous shrub. It features broad leaves, profusions of white blooms, and blue berries.
Chou Wu Tong was first mentioned in the Illustrated Classic of the Materia Medica. (1061 CE).
In central and southern China, is where this plant grows. Just before it blossoms, the leaves are collected.
